Brecon Coachworks has a new demonstrator vehicle. It is a 16 seater 50C15 Irisbus with NMI Smartfloor flat floor, Eberspacher climate control, Cogent seats on NMI legs and a PLS inboard lift.

13/12: St Peters Community Project
St Peters Community Project, based in Tile Cross, Birmingham have recently taken posession of a new Irisbus 50C15 converted by Brecon Coachworks. The group which provides day care and a lunch club for elderly people, were successful in securing Lottery funding for the bus.

25/10: National Star College
National Star College in Cheltenham has recently taken posession of a new Iveco Irisbus 50C15 converted by Brecon Coachworks.
Brecon Coachworks were delighted to host the 1st Community Transport Show in Brecon on 22nd June 2007. Traditionally such shows are held in England - the CTA show is held in Manchester - which means a long journey for organisations from Mid and South Wales. The event was very successful and was well attended by Community Transport Operators, Transport and Fleet Managers and other interested parties. There were 35 exhibitors which included coachbuilders, safety equipment manufacturers, insurance and finance brokers and clothing suppliers. It also featured taster sessions, minibus evacuation demonstrations and seminars. There was also the opportunity to see vehicles in various stages of conversion in our workshop.
Feedback from attendees was that such a show is needed in Wales as it allows transport operators to see what is available in the industry without having to travel to England. Exhibitors suggested a 2 day show next year would be beneficial.

Brecon Coachworks is undertaking mobility installations to private vehicles including installing Turny seats and hoists. We had been asked to install a Turny HD Car seat into a Ford Cmax. This is the first time this type of seat has been fitted in this vehicle. Brecon Coachworks are working closely with the technical department of AutoAdapt in Sweden to develop a bespoke adaptor plate to suit the vehicle.
